Norwegian acoustic strummers Kings of Convenience have been in heavy rotation in my iTunes since this summer (although I missed them at the jazz festival in Cascais in July due to the exorbitant ticket price). Their music always helps me relax, and it's excellent for doing work, because it can fade into the background, but their songs have beautiful, personal lyrics as well. Lately I've been listening a lot to one remix of their "I Don't Know What I Can Save You From" by Mojib. He comes at most things from a more hip-hoppy, RJD2 or Flying Lotus style, and he kicks up the drums, but the song retains its beauty. The other remix is by Four Tet. The originals of both songs are on the album 'Quiet is the New Loud' which you can pick up here.

Off to Cambridge this afternoon for my last Yale-Harvard game of college. It's going to be a lot of fun, but sad, too. Then off to Maine for a few days and Thanksgiving before coming back down to New Haven to buckle down and get some writing done.
